Neil Warnock is a proven/succesful Championship manager and always delivers teams who fight for the cause.

When the big games come, Warnock does not bottle it like previous managers Dave Jones etc

Warnock is not a yes man like Slade and Trollope and Tan realised this time he had to bring in a manager who would not tolerate interteferance and Tan has left Warnock alone.

Warnock brings out the passion in his players and if they have not got it,its goodbye

Warnock inspires his players, respect them, but he also stands up to them, as we saw with Sol Bamba :thumbright: :thumbright:

Warnock is also an honest, straight talking manager,I love it :bluebird: :bluebird:

Now Cardiff City Football Club has to back our manager in the January Transfer market :thumbright: :bluebird:

NEIL WARNOCKS WORDS THIS WEEK: "IF YOU WANT SUCCESS,YOU HAVE TO INVEST" :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

And can be trusted to buy the right players, Tan should invest in the summer for next season, maybe by sponsorship or stadium name, we need a way around FFP, the wrong managers wasted so much of the money.

Without a doubt :thumbright: :thumbright:

Funny, they got around it to pay stupid wages to Ben Amos and Ricky Lambert.

Neil Warnock is the best thing to happen to Cardiff City Football Club in a long while and should be fully supported by owner, players and fans alike!

Eight promotions (or was it seven?) and umpteen play-off finals speak volumes for the man. He knows how to select and motivate his players and he knows (in true Cardiff city fashion) how to get his teams to 'get into' the opposition!

Loving his time here so far and confident the only way is up in the short to medium term! :ayatollah:

What I find particularly refreshing with Warnock compared to other inferior specimens is that he never goes on the defensive. If he fucks up, he'll say so, if someone else fucks up he'll say so too. Once that's out of the way there's so much opportunity for improvement it's envigorating. It's just lovely not to hear all these ifs, buts and maybes and not treating footballers as prima donnas. He's got a natural knack of bringing the majority on board with him.

For me he's brought old fashioned grit and steel to us lethal lynex. jason Perry .Phil Dwyer all played like this every game .
I think this style of football is being forgotten in the modern game especially at high level.
I'm loving it Warnock fits city like a glove all city fans I no just want 100% IN a blue shirt Warnocks brought that to the club .he's a clever with his tactics too .At long last we are all happy I think.
Stay up this year regroup get this ffp thing sorted and go again.
So many clubs are gonna get kicked in the teeth with it .if we can just stay up which I think we can we be going in the right direction in blue with a club that's fast becoming the city we all no and love again .
Long may it continue.

Warnock was just what we needed after 2 wasted years.

The biggest problem the club, and Warnock, have is the problems previous managers have caused us on the FFP front.

Trollope was backed, and went out and signed Amos, Lambert and Bennett. The trouble is we're now stuck with Amos as a back up keeper earning probably 3 times what the first team keeper is earning and Lambert on a big wage sitting on the bench too.

I actually think Lambert will be quite handy but the trouble is that even if VT wanted to give Warnock a £10m kitty he can't, otherwise we'll be under another embargo for the, much more important, summer window. Clearly, Warnock isn't a "yes" man but even he has acknowledged the FFP problems that they are working within.

I think we are likely to have to accept losing people like Noone, Immers, O'Keefe, Manga, Morrison, etc., in order for Warnock to create enough room to make the signings that he really wants.

It will be a major balancing act

Great post  .

At the start of the season there was a lot of talk of doing things the 'Cardiff Way' by adopting the successful Welsh system from last summer's Euros. It wasn't an all too bad idea (apart from having no Bale or Ramsey that is ;) ) but it was frustrating knowing that a 'Cardiff Way' already existed.

We have never been blessed with the most gifted players but as the list above proves we have been gifted with many passionate players who give every ounce. That is the 'Cardiff Way' and by accident or design we have now stumbled back onto our natural path.

I agree NW should be backed in the summer but we shouldn't be targeting prima donnas we should be targeting the Perry or Bamba type player who will come here and play our way. Once that happens the unique link between players and supporters will be restored and CCS at least will become a fortress again.

From what I understand FFP was amended so that a club can lose a total of £39m over a 3 year period. We lost £13.6m in 2014 and made a profit of £3.8m in 2015. It would now depend on our performance in the next set of accounts but the moment our losses over the past 2 seasons are £9.8m.

I know in 2015 we actually had a trading loss of £8m but due to a writing off debt we actually showed that £3.8m profit but we had a transfer embargo because of a technicality. Providing that technicality is no longer active then in theory we have a 'surplus' of £29.4m minus this year's losses.

Also to be considered is the £8m per season debt write off which again could give us some leg room.

Of course we have to remember that anything we spend now will count against us for the next 3 years so if the gamble failed we would have shot ourselves well and truly in the foot.

That said providing we can get rid of unwanted playing staff at a guess NW could have £5-10m in the summer?
