First City match with the boy child

Sun Jan 01, 2017 5:10 pm

I've got one very excited 5 year old straining at the bit for his first ever real football match tomorrow.

Spur of the moment thing this afty and booked us a pair of tickets in 106.

Thought that behind a goal would be a bit more interesting for him. I know some would say I should've rung up and tried for family stand, but as I said spur of the moment idea this afty.

You'll certainly get the best of the atmosphere there.
Looking at e ticketing both the Canton and Ninian have sold really well.

Still plenty of room in corners and grandstand and first few rows of Canton though.
3400 Villa fans should mean a bit of noise too

Hope you both have a great day

Thanks. I used to chase the egg but the lad is footie mad so I'm embracing it rather than forcing him into the way of the egg.

Better he enjoys something he has 'found' rather than being forced to enjoy my 'thing'.

He's even playing for a local U7 team that has a few lads training with City and the Jacks so he's over the moon with his day out tomorrow.

Only problem is with 106 is that it'll be mostly standing and he may struggle to see. Hopefully he can get a decent view as it's certainly near the best area for noise

On row D on the aisle seats so hoping. Spoke with my brother in law and nephew who are/were ST holders and they said row A was too 'low' and D was the furthest back I found with a pair so the decision was made. I aimed for behind the goal for hopefully a good level of action. Being in the Canton is just the icing on the cake.

Hope it's a better result than my 5 year old's first City game. Stupidly I took him to the Reading game in the Trollope era when we lost to a last minute goal. At least he will see a team going for it now Warnock's in charge

Earlier popped into office to get our tix. Never have I seen our lad this excited.

Then a quick look round the shop.... Christmas money dissappeared on a big bag of City stuff.

I think we have another lifelong City fan coming through despite his cousin's best efforts to Manureify him.

Maybe I'll have to make some dough dissappear from my Landy fund on a half season ticket for me and the boy. We'll see how he takes this afty.

Tom loved it. Talk of season tickets has cropped up.

I have been 'forced' by him to purchase 2 tickets for next week against Fulham.

He loved the 106, but we noticed a bit of space in 203 and he fancies a closer look at the middle of the ground and how the managers 'play the game'.

So for Fulham we're taking a look from 203. Rest assured 106 we will return.
