Reading between the lines I'm pretty sure that Resurrection guy is an old mate of mine and an old skool Jack who's been there through it all in fairness to him.

I can completely understand why he's so pissed off, he need's to chill the f**k out mind and stay off the booze and messageboards at the same time

It's great to see them turning on each other. It's been a while since we can sit back and enjoy their suffering. They're not down yet mind!

I've been reading Planet Swans for a while now and it's not Roath. Its no secret that it's Chris Eames.

He onced knocked my mates teeth out in The Kooler, Merthyr he's no mug.

Absolutely fantastic read.

'The Resurrection' poster's point seems to have been lost on most although his persuasive technique is not exactly brilliant

Any way he seems to be saying that no matter what the club do they are doomed and the fans should concentrate on abusing Huw Jenkins rather than following a futile path of supporting the team.

I can understand a lot of the arguments made in that the club didn't push on when it hit it's pinnacle under Michael Laudrup in 2013. That said SCFC have always punched above their weight in the PL and it is a miracle they have lasted 5 years. Just where these investment funds were supposed to come from is a mystery as the JB's basically used everything they earned just to stand still.

Also I found interesting the reference to HJ earning £10kpw and receiving a dividend of £8m. In the great scheme of things that is not exactly a huge amount considering PL earnings of £100m plus the so called American investment of another £100m.

Ridsdale for example was earning £6,750pw a decade ago and he received bonuses and severance payments but he never got us into the PL and the £100m investment from VT came despite him not because of him.

When you look at it that way HJ has brought in untold riches to Swansea (nearing half a billion pounds over the past 5 years) and has given them what will be looked at in years to come as their golden period. I would say a total of £10.5m in wages and dividends over that period is well earned. It might be time for him to step aside but to call him a c**t seems a bit harsh.

this is very much my take on it as well. ask any fan of a league 2 club if they would begrudge a new owner being 10mill better off in ten years time. if that ten years included 3 promotions. 5 prem years and a cup. they need boiling in cats piss.

Yes he's so transparent. However I think a different approach is required. Just ignore him rather than play his game and get embroiled in a pointless never ending argument.

Nobody is begrudging Huw and co selling their shares and cashing in (note that the £8m was not a dividend but the price of his shares). People are begrudging the way they went about it, which has directly impacted negatively on the club and put the supporters Trust in a position where they may have to wind themselves up and sell their stake.

Although it's now being suggested that high profile members of the ST were fully aware of the takeover details and kept their mouth shut for financial gain.

The supporters director was incredibly close to the board, they had become friends. So people are finding it hard to believe they managed to keep the year long discussions completely away from him and he must have failed to tell the Trust of the dealings for his own personal gain. However that is purely hear say I must add, he has now been replaced due to a conflict of interest scenario.

Come on mate enough of that, happy to enter into a decent conversation but leave all that rubbish to the morons.

Taylor is not very good and a massive big time charlie. The first part covers an awful lot of thr current swansea squad though, worst team in the league no doubt.

Can you tell me why any of that is to blame for the position the JB's find themselves in? Surely the main reason is a shit manager coaching a shit playing squad.

Well that's a simple one even a Cardiff fan can answer.

Huw Jenkins kept selling their best players and last few windows has failed to replace them adequately. Sooner or later the selling philosophy was going to catch up on them.

Because the supporters trust no longer have any meaningful voting rights. The sneaky way in whcih the old board tried to maximise profit at the expense of the supporters and the Trust was to only sell 68% of shares but whatever % they held onto would surrender the voting rights attached to those to the Americans, so the Americans have 79% voting rights and you need 75% to pass any boardroom decisions. So they had no say in BB's appointment or Guidolins sacking and also due to the takeover the transfer window was disrupted and targets such as Chadli, Allen and Bony were forced to go elsewhere and were left with cheap stop gaps. They now have the worst squad in the league and 2 lots of managers severance packages to pay. Thats the long and the short of it.

Sounds like a load of excuses to me. Swansea are not the first team to have to deal with a takeover and at the end of the day the Supporter's Trust only held 25% of the shares and that by a long way is not a majority. The tail will never wag the dog.

To your credit you have had a string of managerial successes whether by luck or design but at some point the lack of quality available candidates or simple timing was going to work against you. Bemoaning the voting rights at board level would have made no difference to that.

Be thankful for what you have had, there are 60 odd clubs in the Football League who would have happily swapped places with you over the past 8 years.

spot on mate. the business plan was to off set the on going yearly losses by selling assets and attempting to replace with cheaper.
in fairness they kept pulling rabbits out of the hat but it had to end at some point.

It is just what happened, I am not in the business of making excuses for anyone. The trust went from the largest single shareholder with a meaningful voice to a voting right that is essentially worthless. You asked how it affected the club to where it finds itself where it is and I told you. That is simply the situation as it happened. There is now zero input at board-level from anybody that was to do with the success of the club over the last 15 years, that is a pretty big pointer as to why the likes of Bob Bradley became manager. Thankfully for Swansea it seems the Americans have panicked and actually listened to the suggestions for the current appointment who looks a solid appointment for the longterm, but probably won't have the immediate impact to keep them up as someone like Wheeler Dealer Arry.
