Worst city game you can remember watching affected by fog???

Can remember a home game against Mansfield,touch and go if it would be played,hundreds stay outside until the game was confirmed it would go ahead,city won 3-2,no idea of date but from memory,I think phil stant was one of goal scorers

I remember that. They had a young forward who used to play for us during the Durban years - Paul McGlaughlin

Can you remember what year it was????,only around 3000 there,but that was around the normal attendances that year

Andrew, if it's the game I remember, it was 3-2 win in the old 4th Division on a Friday night in early 1992 and it was a proverbial 'pea-souper'
I'd just got married and travelled with my (now late) wife to the game and it was tough just travelling along the Ely Link Road. Could vaguely make out the floodlights at Ninian Park from the by-pass and though we were on a wasted journey. But no, the game was allowed to go ahead because the referee could see both goals from the half-way line (even if the fans at either end couldn't!) and thankfully City produced a good win having lost the away game 3-0 a few weeks prior
How times have changed for City and the game of football itself

friday night game,Mansfield were top and we were begining to look like we might make a run for a play off spot so had an attendance bump 8k. nowadays you see less of the sudden bumps in attendance,or at least thats how it seems.

Its was Jan 31st 1992. Blake pike newton scored for us.attendance 8265. It was hard to see a thing.

watford away was a bad 1, couldnt see opposite goals.
