600 fans and no credit?

Fri Dec 30, 2016 6:47 pm

Many on here bash our support but 600 travelling up to Brighton on a Friday night with us 20th in the league!

That's not bad at all!

Safe early trip home to you all! Could work into our favour for the Villa game :bluescarf:

Yes I was there when it called off at Posh, yr FUMING at the time,we rushed down the road as Doncaster were playing away in the Non Keague so we watched that, but looking back I've got there at Brighton before and 30 mins before kick of cancelled, also arrived at Hartlepool, Darlington, Carlisle, Rochdale, Huddersfield et etc over the years and all been called off. Thankfully very rare nowadays :thumbright:

Arrived in Carlise about 2004, called off and refuelled and came back home.

Was 14 hours out of the house for nothing :bluebird:

I remember I took a coach up there,we were fuming, Michael Knighton if I rem,was the owner and pitch looked waterlogged,we looked in and they had hose pipes on and we went back up there in the car the following Tuesday night.

Total respect, it's not an easy trip from Cardiff and just after Xmas. I didn't expect 600, quite a few of us might be able to make the re arranged and I expect city to take over a 1,000 now.

Just got back.

One of those things we have to put up with as supporters unfortunately.

Maybe they could have called the game off sooner but that's easy to say in hindsight.

Good of Skybet to arrange transport to the rearranged game but it would have been nice if the club could have put something similar in place - perhaps they would have done if Skybet hadn't got in first?

Or maybe not.

Just got back to Carmarthen about 11.45pm. It's been a long day, but just one of those things. Drove to Cardiff, (and back), then caught the supporters' club coach from our stadium. Most people were philosophical about it. After all, worse things happen at sea! Rarely happens nowadays. Not much anyone can do about fog, and it was thick! Not easy for the coach driver, either. Looking forward to the Villa game now. :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Great attitude and philosophical approach!

Tough journey for all involved and my hat goes of to those who travelled, but the decision to postpone looks to have been the correct one and was well explained by the officials at the ground

A long day for the likes of your good self, plus the fuel costs from Carmarthen to Cardiff and back

Also have to take my hat off to the club and to the EFL sponsors, SkyBet, for providing free travel for the rearranged fixture to come. All it needs now is the club to provide some food and refreshments on way and hopefully no one will be too much out of pocket from a somewhat wasted day out yesterday :ayatollah:

All away fans deserve credit it is amazing how they travel hundreds of miles week in week out supporting the club with only the occasional result making it all worthwhile.

Hats off to all of them. :occasion5:
