" AFTER TWO INSPECTIONS TONIGHTS MATCH IS CALLED OFF "
Over 600 Cardiff Fans had travelled and arrived in Brighton.
Apparently there's going to be a fog inspection at the Amex tonight. Apparently The referee is stuck in traffic because of it as well.

Personally I'd be fuming, we are now just passing through Bracknell soon to be on the M25

personally and very selfishly I would be . Happy if it is postponed
We would then play it after warnock has had a transfer window

Understandable; but I took a day off work for this, nowhere near as bad as the Watford one a few years ago by the looks

Personally I'd be happy for it to be abandoned at nil nil late on and take the point

Gutted for you Adam and the 600 plus City fans who have travelled all that way and it got cancelled?

Ref to give a decision after a second inspection in approximately 5 minutes according to SSN. That Watford game was another ridiculous Boxing Day kick off time - noon if I remember and at least we couldn't see our defence fall apart in the second half. It was the closest I have ever come to leaving a game before the end.

2nd inspection to be held ag 5.45pm (2mins).

Some hope?
Many of the journalists already in the stand at the Amex are suggesting it could well be playable. The bottom line, though, is that the decision is down to referee Christopher Kavanagh, who incidentally reffed Cardiff’s calamitous 1-0 defeat at Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup at the start of the season.

TV pictures seem to show it as not being too bad at the moment, but as the temperatures drop its likely to get worse so its a tricky call for the ref.

Lots of suggestions that fog is worse than the pics and TV show due to the resolutions. Doesn't sound good. Fingers crossed.

chance of a 0-0 draw if Brighton cant see the net

Gutted for all the fans who travelled. I remember we played a Friday night game during our 93 promotion season against Mansfield. Couldn't see hardly anything, but we won 3-2. Probably would be called off by today's refs.
Fri Dec 30, 2016 6:27 pm
No one can blame the Ref and the right decision was made.
I just feel for the 600 City fans who travelled all that way for nothing.
Thankfully this hardly happens nowadays, years ago this would happen 4 or 5 times a season, from Darlington,Hartlepool, Rochdale,Huddersfield, Carlisle and Brighton etc got there and cancelled etc

remember it well, we had a bump in attendance that night up to 8k, lots of glory hunters

Very annoying for the fans but in the long term might be a God send as gives us extra time to prepare for Villa, and get the likes of Whitts and Peltier fit, while we will now play Brighton after the transfer window so will be able to bring in reinforcements.
