Growing crowds at the Cardiff City Stadium?

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/2016/12/2 ... need-them/ :bluebird:

After the initial surge for a frenetic and exhilarating Severnside derby against Bristol City the crowd was 22,776 and was on a Friday night and live on tv, but since then attendances have dipped back to largely where they were at the start of the season.

City fans were given the manager Neil Warnock that many craved for and Warnock signed four big name players

Kieran Richardson
Marouane Chamakh
Sol Bamba
Junior Hoilett

Warnock has lifted Cardiff City out of the bottom three of the Championship, so now its Cardiff fans who need to return in far bigger numbers.

City did their part, with season tickets the the 2nd cheapest in the Championship £50 under 16's, £99 under 21's and reduced Adult season tickets and have only been charging £22 for Adults on match days for most home games.

To be fair the atmosphere has improved greatly since Warnocks arrival, the stadium genuinely bouncing in the throes of the Wolves and (almost) Barnsley comebacks, and you can't say that what has been on show hasn't been entertaining.

Warnock and the team certainly need them to return in bigger numbers..

City's next home game is the Xmas/New Year Bank holiday festive game where all clubs virtually sell out, City have the Aston Villa, you could not ask for more, 3pm and not live on Tv, its a Bank holiday and Villa are bringing 3,500 fans, City's ground holds 33,500, so lets get a crowd of between 28,000 -30,000, No excuses :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Annis, sadly I expect our crowds to go down now rather than up, especialy as the season develops and if we pull away a bit and become a 'mid table side'.

Every game has the potential to become pretty meaningless and we won't attract many floating fans with those type of games as the season goes on.

There's a lot of truth in what you've said, if we pull away and become safe, our games become meaningless to the floating fans.

Got to agree but I will take this and championship survival and move forward next season.
