Could there be Shock Signings January 2017 ?

The rumour mill is already in overdrive for the opening month of 2017 and there are already a few Neil Warnock favourites said to be in the hat, Julian Speroni the most notable example.

Yet Cardiff's financial situation, and the outrageous spending power of many of their Championship rivals, means they might have to go down other avenues to the tried and tested.

A plethora of players from the Scottish and non-leagues have been mentioned, many of questionable merit.

But it is certainly the case that Warnock will be keeping all of his options open as he looks to strengthen and besides, Cardiff are starting to spring their fair share of surprises in the market.

After all, it was in this window last year that Lex Immers and Kenneth Zohore came to the club from nowhere.

Who would have thought it would be Immers' future most in doubt as we head into the new year?

Warnock has been told to clear out at least eight squad players and DVP players who have now all been told and with the money available he can bring at least four new players in,in January.

We know Marouane Chamakh is to leave, maybe Kieron Richardson?

The biggest loss will be Bruno Manga, please Cardiff learn from your mistakes of 2016,Marshall gone and you tried to get rid of Aron Gunnarsson.

Manga has been in excellent form since coming back into the side and there will be a sense of a great talent wasted if he leaves the club for a pittance.

It's a lesson which Cardiff must learn from in 2017.

Steve, its going to be interesting what happens? ?

Bruno Manga is for sale and is expected to leave Cardiff City this January, but Warnock wants to keep him and as he will be away on International duty from January 14th till at least February, BUT will a club want him that late?

City were believed to have wanted £2million for him,but due to his high wages, are now willing to accept less than a £million for him.

Bruno Manga cost Cardiff City £3.5million.
