Cardiff City have recently been linked with Hearts defender Callum Paterson.

Paterson is out of contract in the summer and Hearts have slapped a £1m price tag on him but yesterday he was stretchered off with a knee injury.

Ian Cathro, Hearts manager, has said they will know more about the extent of injury today but it is concerning for the Tynecastle club.

If Trollope or Slade were still here, they'd wait and see how serious it was, if he was out for just a few months, they'd offer him a 4 year deal.

Isn't he a left back? Can anyonesee us having or needing 1m to spend on a left back?

He's been in goalscoring form too, netting in the last two games.
He has scored 9 from 25 games, not a bad return even in the Scottish leagues, and especially as he isn't their penalty taker.

SSN Just reported Hearts have said Patterson will be out for 10 months. That's the end of that rumour then.

He can't defend or score any goals for the next ten months so he should fit in well down here.
