Neil Warnock:"Enough was enough, something had to be done,it was not really difficult to leave Amos out"

One goalie on approx £18,000 a week and we pay all his wages on loan from Bolton until the end of May 2017,the other goalie on about £1,000 a week, hardly played a game for years and looks like he has been given the number spot at Cardiff City.

Who really finds these players and makes such costly mistakes yet again??

Brian Murphy is set to become Cardiff City's Number One goalkeeper after impressive debut performance against Brentford on Boxing day.

Cardiff City currently have three goalkeepers, Ben Wilson, Brian Murphy and Ben Amos.

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/2016/12/2 ... as-chosen/ :bluebird:

Brian Murphy currently aged 33 and was without a club is a journeyman and has waited patiently for his chance this season and even though he let two goals in against Brentford neither were his fault. In fact Murphy made a couple of outstanding

Neil Warnock was full of praise for the stand-in keeper, amid reports that Ben Amos' poor form has led him to start scouring the market for a new number one.

That may well be the case, but Murphy seems to have done enough to be handed the gloves for a daunting trip away to Brighton on December 30th.

Neil Warnock said: "Absolutely, yeah [he was a positive]. I decided enough was enough really, brought him straight into the squad and into the first team, I don't think he's played for a few years has he but I thought he did ever so well.

Neil Warnock:"Not really [difficult to leave Amos out], not after last week, I just thought enough was enough really.
"I would imagine so [start against Brighton], it would be harsh to leave him out after that, wouldn't it?"

knee jerk reaction after selling two keepers.

I think it has been as much a case of "Who's available and prepared to come to the madhouse?" over the last two or three years and I believe we have been made to pay over the odds for that! :(

That, I hope, will change with Neil Warnock at the helm in January and beyond!

I didn't watch the game against Brentford but people are talking about Moore like he's the answer.
He may be but it's only one game!!

We sell Marshall to get his wages off the books..then replace him with a far worse keeper on virtually the same money...I despair at times.

I know it's easy to criticise in hindsight..but I don't think anyone was impressed when we first signed Amos

We sold marshal coz he wanted to go back to the premier league and we promised him last season that if he stayed they would let him leave this year

Marshall may or may not have wanted to move...he is the only one who can answer that...the point I am making is that from the Clubs point of view they would have been more than happy to get his big wages off the wage bill, then just a few days later replace him with a far inferior keeper on virtually the same money...that is madness!!!

Bolton fans were absolutely delighted that Amos had left.A league one side didn't even want him. I genuinely think Warnock will put a stop to these ridiculous signings and wages that have happened last few seasons

Based on all the evidence since 2013 I would absolutely agree our transfer policy has been based on who is willing to come here rather than who do we really need.

Hope you are right and NW puts a stop to this madness.

I remember Annis doing a piece saying Bolton fans thought he was crap and were delighted we had taken him on loan. I thought at the time surely not again? But yep we got done although for once we are stuck with the bill for a few months rather than years.

I can't see Warnock wanting a 4th goalie?

Yes I did Tony and guess what they don't want him back.

Yes your right at least we have not got him for years.
