Former QPR star Alejandro Faurlin could be on his way back to England

The Argentinian midfielder enjoyed his most successful period under Warnock during an injury-jinxed eight years at Queens Park Rangers.

He has since moved to Getafe in Spain, where has scored twice in nine games this season, after a loan spell with the Serie A side Palermo in 2013.

But Express Sport understands Warnock is now aiming to try to sign him for Cardiff City in next month's transfer window.





The much-travelled Warnock rates his 'old boy' as one of the best players he has worked with.

And 30-year-old Faurlin would welcome a potential reunion with the man he describes as the most influential manager he has ever had.

Faurlin has overcome two serious knee injuries to revive his career in Spain, having joined Getafe in August.

He's had some terrible ACL injury problems, but is back to a decent standard now and won player of the month in November.

Yep that is the guy.

We drew with them at home 2-2. A win for them would have given them promotion. Losing 3-0 to Middlesborough at home killed it for us.

Great player at QPR, but I think he will just rinse our wages. Probs won't ever play, due to random injuries.
