Approx 950 incl 50 comps

Over 650 tickets unsold for the game that was surely going to be a sell out

I was tempted to go (still might). But it's a stupid KO, Boxing Day and it's pretty pricey.

If I were to go do you reckon Vince has spaces on his bus? :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We are where are now, I don't think we would of sold anymore, it's excuse after excuse.
We just have to accept we've lost our once proud great support, I hope we sell Bristol City away out, they souls out at our place, Friday night,Sky and live on sky :thumbright:

People can say its excuses but the kick off being brought forward to 1pm meant a good 15-20 of us not going.

Bet that's been replicated amongst a few groups.

We had a pub sorted. Same place we stopped for the last wembley final.

We were gunna leave at 9.30 get up there for 11.30 have a good 2-3 hours there with the gaffer doing some grub for us then go over for the game, as soon as it got moved to 1pm it wrecked our plans and people started dropping out.

Tbh I'm not going to another game that gets moved without a genuine reason as a point of principle and that includes Bristol City next month.

The inability to pay on the gate or buy tickets without the need for membership will cost another 5. Casual supporters who maybe do 1 or 2 away games a season wont go through the hassle or expense of buying a membership just for that. I would have still gone but I'm not going to risk the dragging the relations along and not getting in.

I've never gone to a Boxing Day match home or away since the birth of our son seven years ago. It's the only
time when me, the wife and our son just lock the door and chill out as a family after the busyness of the day before.

It's become a bit of a ritual for us now and I must admit, I quite enjoy. There's plenty of other times during the year to go to football.

I know some might scoff at my post but it's my family before football over Christmas.

It's about time we were home on Boxing Day. Can't remember the last time. Think it was when we were in the premiership

Again though you can say excuse after excuse but 1pm kick off rules myself and a hell of a lot of fathers up and down south Wales out. Football is more popular than ever amongst the kids, I coach my son's team we kick off at 10 final whistle 11am. Just not a viable option and I'd have made Bristol if it was a 3pm kick off. My team has no fewer than 6 fathers who are season ticket holders who won't make Bristol because they'll be watching their kid play.

i had a moan on here about the Bristol City game K.O. only for someone to come along and tell me. yes its because theyve had trouble twice this season nothing to do with us?
trouble is they played Reading {77 miles }that week{when announced } 3pm. play Wolves boxing day 3 pm {98 miles }.

Its ridiculous mate. Would have to catch a train from where I live at about 8 to get to Cardiff for before 9 then over on the train get there about 10, be lucky to get a pint if anywhere was open before ko.

Should be able to catch a train over from Cardiff around 10.30 ish and then have 2-3 hours having a couple of pints before going to the game.

I agree with you about excuses excuses, but I don't think the negativity every away match on this forum helps at all. It is what is, what Is for sure is the 1,000 will be loud and proud and passionate throughout.

Bristol will sell out, you can always tell from the interest within your own area.

So Gareth, Your blaming the negativity on this forum for away matches for our poor away support, what a pathetic excuse
If a fan wants to go they will go.
I was discussing with Vince,in January when we played Arsenal,Man City,Man United on a Tuesday night all away games, some £55 a ticket,we sold all the three out. No excuses then.
Its actually this forum, urging fans to go and putting all the info out that helps sell tickets, the amount of people on FB who thank me is incredible.
I try to be straight down the middle and be honest. :thumbright: :bluebird:

Gareth or do you mean my continual live updates of away games,so it means you don't have to go

Most football fans draw the line at "not Premier League football" it seems. I drew the line when we played in Red, as many did, but now we are blue again, why haven't many returned?
