Warnock brought four players in and these two seem to have failed Richardson and Chamakh?

I have said this before somewhere but I cant be bothered to find it haha.
Hoilett and Bamba are 2 of the best successes we have had in a number of seasons IMHO. Both have come in and made an immediate impact.
Richardson has good pedigree. He is a low risk signing as his skill levels are high enough. He was brought in as a left back but can cover a lot of postions. As a squad player he is very good to have. He has not set the world alight but he has been involved in almost all match day squads. He will no doubt be disappointed by his results but compare that to players like Huws, Berget, doyle, revell, kennedy, Guerra etc. None of whom have been or were consistently involved in squads or made any perceivable contribution to the match day set ups beyond bodies on the field. Harsh yes but can anyone say they have done more?
Chamakh - disappointed in this one myself. He arrived again with good pedigree and track record but has not kicked on but then this is football. Sometimes people dont fit.
So failures? the 2 successes are on longer contracts. the 2 "failures" are signed until january.
Financially they are WAY less of a risk than even the 6 players I listed above. They will not have to be shipped out cost price or paid off. RIchardson I Would argue is worth hanging on to as well. He has looked up for it when he has played to me he just hasnt clicked. He can cover Mid field and left back. He may not be the player he was but in a long season his experience could be just what we need.
As I Said, every signing is a risk ... but these have been better risks than most of the previous signings in the last few years.,

Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has said that Kieran Richardson and Marouane Chamakh are likely be released when their contracts expire in January.

the two failures were calculated risks on very short contracts. they might not have contributed much on the field but in my opinion along with signing hoilet, bamba {4 players we had actually heard of} it gave the whole club a lift.

I am disappointed with Richardson not happening as I thought he would be a very good player for City
