He's not as good a manager he thinks he is he comes across quite arrogant at times.

Crystal Palace have sacked manager Alan Pardew, with former England manager Sam Allardyce the early favourite to replace him at Selhurst Park.

A club statement on Thursday confirmed that the former Newcastle manager has been asked to step down from his post. “I would like to put on record our sincere gratitude for the tremendous service Alan has given us, both in his time here as manager and previously as a player,” said chairman Steve Parish.
“Following a fantastic second half of 2014-15, the 2015-16 season culminated in only narrowly missing out on winning the FA cup as well as securing our Premier League place for a record breaking fourth time. During his tenure Alan’s hard work and dedication were without question, he has improved so many areas of the club and we wish him the very best for the future. With games now coming thick and fast over the holiday period the club are hoping to put someone in place as quickly as possible but have nothing to say about a replacement at this time.”
Pardew, who signed a new long-term contract in the summer after leading Palace to the FA Cup final in May, is expected to receive a payoff in the region of £5m. Palace paid around £2.5m compensation to Newcastle when he left them last year.
“I would just like to take the opportunity to thank everybody at Crystal Palace for their fantastic support,” he said in statement. “In particular a big thanks to the players who gave me absolutely everything and Steve Parish and his board. Personally I have a lot of good feelings for this football club and am sad that my time there has ended. I feel that I have a special bond with the club and hope that hasn’t been affected, I wish everybody associated with the club the best of luck in the future including of course the fans who have been magnificent.”
Pardew leaves the Palace with the club in 17th place in the Premier League and just one point above the relegation zone. They have picked up just 26 points from their last 36 Premier League matches.

When he goes into a club he starts off well and then fades just like at Newcastle it was only that he was on a 7 year contract that kept him there and same at Palace started off well and now have won the least amount of games in the calendar year in the entire football league.

Victim of his own success, not even in the bottom 3 and just played Man Utd and Chelsea.
Their only a couple of wins off 10th and, very harsh decision Imo.

I think Pardew is a decent manager and maybe they should of given him a bit more time

Newcastle got no better after he left W3 D4 L12 followed by relegation the following season.

he is arrogant, but still a good manager. since he's been at newcastle, his teams have shown a tendency to either be very good, or very bad.
owners nowadays sack you for a poor 10 game run, even if you have a proven track record. by all accounts, the new foreign owners decided to sack pardew. he will get another job somewhere, but he may be waiting some time if he wants to stay in the PL, as most clubs now look abroad before giving UK managers a chance.
managing relegation threatened clubs to safety is a very lucrative business, and at the moment there is probably no-one better than allardyce.

Maybe he will end up down the road as long as he has a strong stomach and can put up with the gargoyles sitting in the stands. Can't see the Yank lasting long there.

Agreed and that will put Palace safe, and one less team that the Gypos can pass

Palace were way behind us when we won the Championship but their chairman tends to appoint right manager at right time to stay in Premiership, Pullis,Pardow and now Big Sam?

It's the points from win, draws and losses.
6 wins (3 pts) = 18
8 draws (1 pt) = 8
13 losses (0 pts) = 0
So 26 points in total. Giving them the lowest average point record of the 96 Football League teams in 2016.

I don't get it either Daniel. That only accounts for 27 games but they are down as having played 36. Seems to me as if the results of 9 games are missing.
