Burnley have agreed a deal

Burnley have agreed a deal to re-sign Joey Barton until the end of the season.

The former Newcastle and Man City midfielder, who had most recently been at Rangers, has been training with the Clarets to build up his fitness.

Barton – who initially joined the Clarets as a free agent in August, 2015 – was named Burnley’s Player of the Year as the club secured promotion to the Premier League before departing for Rangers only to leave under a cloud after a training ground bust-up in November
