Awful. Reports saying 9 dead and 50 injured. Driver arrested, his 'assistant' is dead.
Also today:
Zurich - 3 people shot near mosque.
Ankara - Russian ambassador shot dead by assailant shouting Allahu Akbar.
Brussels - In lockdown tonight due to suspected terrorist threats.

Carried out by an asylum seeker.

Terrible incident. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
Germany is not on the edge. Some numpties try to use this for their far-right agenda but they are ripped apart by the vast majority.

The scumbag was an asylum seeker from Pakistan, yet there's no conflict in Pakistan

This is awful and my thoughts to are with the victims and their families. Just spent the end of last week and the weekend in Berlin including a couple of nights in the Party House at the Xmas market in Alexanderplatz. Given the density of crowds in these markets we should be a relieved this wasn't a whole lot worse - as dreadful as that sounds given the loss of life.

Yup, looks like he has no connection with the attack.

Latest news, Police says the man in custody is not the culprit. They're 99% sure, he's not even connected with Berlin attacks. He has an alibi, attended hearings at various asylum seekers bureaus...
So, the man or men behind this, are still free...
