Who is Warnock referring to

When he's on about changes and two players not doing as told?

Re: Who is Warnock referring to

Connolly

It's what I thought, not sure how he can change both. Connolly is a CB simple as that.

Amos, Connolly, Morrison and Noons.

Amos had a mare, again. Noons offered little or no support to Connolly. Connolly himself looked lethargic and Morrison looks to be going backwards since he was made captain.

When I heard the interview I swear he was talking about players not taking their positions at corners.

So if that is the case then it's not going to be Morrison or Amos he's talking about.

He did refer to corners for some reason ! But think he was more anoyed about the defending generally.

One offs he may get away with it, but a team of nippy midgets he was poor....But, they play that way and HE picked him

By not naming names it maybe a massive psychological kick up the arse to get them up for the next games.
We will know more next team selection.

He referred to corners and 2 players not being where they should be as it cost us 2 goals.

Other defending was poor, yes, but it really did seem to me that he was specially going to bomb out the players who didn't stick to his instructions- and that related to the not being where he's told them to be at corners.

Honestly don't think Morrison will be a scapegoat as although he is a bit lumbering he's doing the job he's been told to do. Also don't think he deserves the stick he gets, he has the odd off day, but is fairly consistent and is a major factor in our aerial dominance, which we desperately need as we haven't got the players to dominate on the deck.

Manga is off, so Morrison and Bamba will be the 1st choice partnership for the rest of the season.
Injury permitting.

Get Bennett back in and put Peltier back on the right and that's a relatively decent line up.

Forget starting Noone and use him as an impact player and that will also help.

Striker and winger and also keeper and we will be fine.

Also think Amos is OK, no Marshall, but far better than Wilson. However I'd still like to see another no 1 in to compete with him

Agree with that mate. Morrison is a massive threat in the air and nearly scored 2 or 3 today as well as about 3 flick ons that others should of buried. Bamba and Morrison are starting for defo with Manga going. I think if you look back at the goals conceded Morrison is in the box I guess he'd want him in there threatening. Amos connolly peltier and Noone were poor on the break from our corners. Alot of the time Connolly was 1v1 and peltier or noone were not in front of their strikers to cut off supply

Surely he cannot be referring to corners we had because the goals started off from their penalty area!!! We didn't concede from their corners? Don't think it's morrison as he was the most dangerous for our corners and manger is dangerous as well so cannot be in two places at once? Having said that he obviously thinks certain players are not up to the job.

agree with this, its not like he has had blind faith in the samee 11 players game after game and then yesterday was the last straw. he changes it all the time and isnt shy to use subs either.

Allan, yes he was referring to where our defenders were when WE had corners.
Chatting in the stand we remarked that we should have had 3 back when they left 2 up, so I'd guess someone went walkabout and that another was not goal side of his man

Perhaps he was referring to midfield players as manga and morrison were our main threat ? And did have one defender back can't be him so only leaves midfield players being to far forward at corners ! but doesn't explain fact that 3 goals were nothing to do with corners they came from picking up possession outside Barnsley's area!

Re: Who is Warnock referring to

Peltier was staying back , but I think Connelly forgot he was a full back and should have stayed back with him .also Noone should have been between their penalty box and half way line.
So I'm assuming Connelly and Noone , forgot their jobs ?
