' NEIL WARNOCK LIVE TODAY '
Neil Warnock faced the media this morning ahead of Cardiff City's crunch Championship match with Barnsley at Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
After the Bluebirds comeback win against Wolves in midweek, the mood is likely to be very positive as Cardiff head into another very winnable fixture on home turf.

Looking back at Wolves
Neil Warnock:
"That’s what it’s all about - trying to change things"
"Nice to see a couple of the changes work out and both subs did well in 2nd half. We were a lot more positive 2nd half. Early goal knocked us a little bit, and knocked our confidence, we could have lost it in the 20 minutes after they scored."

Avoiding bottom six...
NEIL WARNOCK:
"One defeat and your back in it, we’ve got to get a better goal difference, we’re catching up other teams slowly though.
With the games coming up, it’s going to be a difficult time."
"We need to get as many points as and when we can."
"If you’re in bottom six of any league you’re more likely to go down. It’s obvious"

NEIL WARNOCK:
Fixtures tough
"We seem to have the tough games repeated.February and March gives us a better run in.
We’re doing well from when I took over, saw a league table since then, and we were up near the play-offs."
"I think Barnsley are as good an away side as there is in the league, they’re my old club - a lovely club,"

Fully assessed
"I’ll make changes if they’re not doing their job, the players know that."
"I have basically seen everybody now, I wanted to try some things the other night, some came off, some didn’t.
I’ve assessed which lads i’d like to keep and who I wouldn’t be so sad to see go."

NEIL WARNOCK:
Rhys Healey
"Healey is due back on January 2."
" I’ll take look at him for a couple of weeks to see if he can help us. I’ve got 2 or 3 practice matches lined up then I’ll make a decision on whether to loan him out again or not. Liked him when I saw him, we’ve had him watched every game. He’s done well in every game."

NEIL WARNOCK:
On Malky Mackay and agents in football
"I don’t think it’s anything to do with me."
"All the players and agents all deal with Ken [Choo]. I can’t see Ken changing, he’s 100 mph an hour everywhere. Managers should keep out of it."
"There have always been good and bad agents, bad ones give them all a bad name. I’ve dealt with very good agents who are not always in it for the money. Some were looking after the player’s best interests. I remember a young player once going to worse club because the agent got more money if he signed. Players priorities come first."

CRAIG BELLAMY RETURN
NEIL WARNOCK:
" With his experience and knowledge of the top level, it seemed a shame not to pick his brain, so when the opportunity came, I suggested to Ken [Choo] that we took him on board."
"He’s around anyhow. We need someone looking at the future players at the club. I talk to him quite a lot as well. Healey and Harris will benefit from speaking to him, and first teamers too. He will primarily be looking at bringing through more players from the under-18’s and under-19’s but we’ll also pick his brains on the first team as well. He’s already doing that to some extent, but no official capacity. If he hadn’t got that history he wouldn’t have come back to play here, he could have gone to far better places than Cardiff. But he’s got an allegiance to Cardiff."
" I go up on Sunday mornings and who’s watching the under 9’s and under 10’s... Craig Bellamy! He doesn’t need the money does he!"

NEIL WARNOCK:
"Only 24 hours in the day..."
"I know we’re in a hell of a battle, the job is a very very big job. It’s a big cub and needs a lot of turnaround all over. But there are only 24 hours in a day, and i’m 68-years-old - I want to do it without killing yourself."
"I am changing the whole picture gradually, but 1st team has to take priority. "

I read from that if your not in or around the squad this saturday you'll be gone in Jan.

NEIL WARNOCK:
Barnsley tomorrow - another former club
"In my case it’s a former club every other week, Barnsley was probably my favourite club as a player."
"I had a couple of fabulous seasons there. Only Brian Joicey who took penalties got more than me. It’s a nice place to play your football. They work hard in that area, Cardiff is very similar to that, out in the valleys they appreciate effort, and they forgive forgive a lot if you put everything in down here. "

That's how I see it Martin, unless your injured.

Neil Warnock:
"One injury doubt for tomorrow"
"Not many of the players have trained, they put so much in. We have one real doubt. We’re capable of beating anyone home or away. If we play to our potential we’re quite a force. I don’t wanna say who it is, it would change one or two things."

Neil Warnock Christmas message:
"At Christmas I just think you’ve got to appreciate your family, it’s important is football, but it’s not life or death. Appreciate what you have got as a footballer. We’ve been to the cancer and kiddies hospitals, it brings it all home."
"We want to try and entertain and give families a happy Christmas. Make Dad’s happy and Son’s happy, and Mother’s happy because Dad’s happy."

NEIL WARNOCK:
What about Warnock's own future?
"My future...never you mind. One thing at a time, whenever you manage have to look at how you improve the club. I don’t mind getting the sack, not many managers are like that."
" I’d like to think that I can contribute and, as and when I leave the club, it can be in a healthier position.
I’d like to leave a legacy'

Neil Warnock:
On Amos' mistake against Wolves
"He won us the game with the save at 1-1. Can’t dwell on mistake, it’s usually a goal if they make a mistake. It’s unfortunate. The best keepers make the fewest mistakes I think"
Fri Dec 16, 2016 11:21 pm
Brilliant. Everything makes sense. No bullshitting. Always wanted warnock and slowly giving us a club to be proud of again
