Neil Warnock's half-time talk inspires Cardiff win over Wolves

Neil Warnock saw his side fight back from 1-0 down to beat Wolves

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock says his half-time team talk helped inspire the turnaround which saw the Bluebirds earn a vital win over Wolves.

Cardiff were 1-0 down at half-time, but triumphed 2-1 to rise out of the Championship relegation zone.

Their vibrant second-half display was unrecognisable from a limp first-half, which prompted Warnock's anger.

"My message was: 'Stop feeling sorry for yourselves, they're there to be beaten'," said Warnock.

He added: "We felt a bit sorry for ourselves with the goal, which was a goalkeeping error.

"It took us 10 or 15 minutes after that, we could have lost the game.

"I was pleased with basically every aspect [of the team] in the second half."

Cardiff's win saw them climb up to 19th place in the Championship table, three points above the relegation zone.

They did so without centre-back Sol Bamba, who was suspended after an extraordinary fit of rage during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Ipswich which saw him clash with opposition players, the fourth official and Warnock.

Does he need to admit it? What was important is that he put it right

You're right, of course he doesn't need to admit it. In fact I don't think the original team selection was particularly wrong anyway. What was wrong were the tactics of lumping the ball up to Pilks constantly giving him no chance of doing anything with it. Too many aimless balls.

He had to have a look at a couple of players and with someone of Richardson's past status he gave him his chance. He and Immers failed to take it so I doubt they'll get another one.
I wouldn't imagine Richardson will be kept on now and Immers will probably be moved on if possible.
Lessons learnt by Warnock plus three points!

"If you don't start pulling your f*cking socks up I'll ship you all out to that basket case of a club down the road!" That seems to have done the trick!

Exactly, he's giving the squad a chance whereas past manager just frustratingly froze people out. Why would he come out and bash his starting players confidence after a win and basically say they arnt worthy of starting for us.

I suspect the air was blue and heated with a real hairdryer blast.

Immers in particular and Richardson must be wondering where they'll be playing their football next month.

Fully agree. Even the most experienced managers make mistakes or get caught out with unforeseen early goals but they are judge on 90 mins not 45. Warnock realised he had to do something and fair play he was proactive enough to do that at half-time.

I will admit when I saw Ken and Noone come on I thought this night can only get worse. But the old fox proved me wrong and I went on to witness and fantastic effort in the second half. Warnock is managerial Gold.

Exactly, sign of a good manager, changed it at half time and turned it around, instead of leaving it until its too late :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
