We got reduced ticket allocation yet Villa fans do this

Mon Dec 12, 2016 10:47 am

We got reduced ticket allocation by 450 tickets at Villa, yet Villa fans do this virtually every week away from home and get No restrictions.

I've got to be honest mate, I'm struggling to see what our fans did wrong there? It's not up to the fans to control themselves, they rely on police & stewards to do that. All I see is them not being able to get the fans into their seats quickly enough, causing a queue to get into the ground.

Regarding the restriction you had at ours, I've no idea why because no other team has had one.

To be brutally honest the ticket restriction we had at yours didn't realy matter as we only just about sold out what we were given in all honesty. If we had another 400 I doubt we would have sold them, whilst it was a decent turn out for us there wasn't exactly a stamped for tickets, I got my ticket on the Wednesday before the game.

AV3, this our issue though, nothing like this happens at our games anymore yet we still have restrictions put on our fans.

One example is Bristol City. A few years ago they lifted all restrictions on both sets of fans. Bristol came here first, decided to smash up a pub for no reason and then we had a bubble trip for the reverse fixture the same season and for the following few seasons. This season they decided to lift them again and again Bristol came to Cardiff looking for it, threw a few flairs around and now our reverse fixture has been brought forward due to the police!!

Maybe we're biased but we never see other teams have the restriction's put on the fans like ours.

I don't really know much about you because our paths have never really crossed. I know you have a reputation and that if we had ever played you in a cup or something, I would have expected it to go off somewhere. Sometimes the reputations are hard to throw off, sometimes they get exaggerated as the years go by. I don't agree with any team getting restricted allocations in this day & age. I don't know who puts these restrictions on you but I would guess that input comes from your own police.

The first time we played our rivals (Blues) for a few years, they played both games on the Monday night Sky game. It was like a throwback to the 70's & 80's. Bringing a fixture forward can be the worse decision if it then ends up as a night game because people have all day to drink and meet offside somewhere. It shows how clueless authorities are.

The only real way to stop trouble is the Sunday 12 o clock KO. Derby played Forest at that time, we play Blues at that time (both sides have reduced allocations of 2,000) I would expect you to play Bristol at that time as well.

Yep Bristol city last year at 12 and again this year, day at the footy away back in the local just past 3 and home by 4.45 for final score. Perfect day out.
