" HAVE WE NOW GOT A PROBLEM? OR IS THE PROBLEM ALREADY SOLVED? "

When Cardiff City's Sol Bamba was sent off away at Ipswich yesterday, Neil Warnock rearranged his team and brought on out of favour Bruno Manga, who replaced Rickie Lambert.

Cardiff actually finished the game far stronger. Ipswich looked rattled by the chaos and having moved Anthony Pilkington up front, City showed some admirable nerve.

Sean Morrison nearly won it with a header, Craig Noone had an effort that drifted just wide of the far post.

In what would have been a fitting end to this most surreal of periods, Bruno Manga, who by Neil Warnock's own admission is likely to leave in January, almost scored the winner.

Sol Bamba's excellence was one of the key reasons why the Gabon international has found himself pushed out of the picture.

Now, he may have to be brought back in from the cold ahead of a run of games that will have a major impact on the rest of Cardiff's season.

They cannot afford for the gap to widen any further ahead of January and now their task is doubly difficult. Bamba was 'distraught' afterwards and quite rightly so.

For Cardiff, Bamba had been one of the few shining lights of the campaign.

You hope that he can rebuild his Cardiff career and come back into the fold because his leadership, character and ability had been exemplary, faultless.

He is good enough and big enough to come again but he will know that his Cardiff City career will always be remembered, at least in part, for the events that transpired on Saturday afternoon.

Cardiff will now have to play without Sol Bamba for the next three Championship games, so will Bruno Manga be brought back in from the cold and start the next three games?

Personally I would bring Manga back in and he might just show why on his day,he is highly rated and it could even help get Cardiff more money come January, as it has been made plainly clear,Manga is leaving Cardiff City this coming January.

Bruno Manga will no doubt what to impress other clubs or his future club, which has been hinted he could return to France.

A chance for him to put himself in the shop window
Hopefully when bamba returns he will put this incident behind him and push him on to play even better than before :ayatollah:

I agree with both of your statements.
I would love to keep Manga as I'm a big fan. I love 'football' players in all positions and Manga is certainly that although I can't see him staying.

Manga now has a chance to prove himself and hopefully will take it to get himself playing in France again.

For Bamba his sending off will die down and he will come back fresh. Just what we need for the relegation fight we will be in.

What was encouraging yesterday was that after going 10 men down we actually took control of the game and could have won it. That tells me we have the right manager in place. Hopefully he will bring more of his kind in come January although that window is a very difficult time to do that. Survive and he just might be able to do what he wants to achieve. Of couse that will be down to one man that needs to support him.

Finally got to get this off my chest but Craig Noone frustrates me. Watching him finish off something creative is like watching paint dry.

Agree with all that mate but had to laugh at your last statement as Noone has been frustrating me for about three years now!!

It shows how much he got them up for the fight! Thats what you need in any job but especially football, when the chips are down you need to step it up a gear!

Under Trollope we would have capitulated. Warnock showed his passion on the side of the pitch too and im sure he showed it in the half time team talk! Perhaps he got Bamba overmotivated as hes a passionate player anyway! :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Yep.

No need to get Bamba up for it. Bamba lost it because of the way the Ipswich plaayer challenged him and simple got away with it. Very bad referring.

Warnock will have a chat with Samba tomorrow,he'll serve his 3 match ban and that will be the end of it. No need to make a drama out of it things like this happen!

I think he is quality.

City want the money and save his wages and Manga off the field I believe has problems so needs to get away.

Manga and Bamba would be a partnership I would like to see. There would be some frightened strikers around

Personally I have respect for Manga coming in yesterday and playing the way he did, he knows he is surplus to requirements and still putting the shirt on with 100% effort.

A lot can change in football very quickly, his attitude stunk at Burton but if he has decided it's now time to play then put him in. We can only benefit from it.

Got to agree if he has the right attitude as bamba would be the defensive rock that manga isn't, if they clicked Warnock wouldn't be selling him come January but not likely to find out.

Dont think Warnock has any say in it. Manga proved many of times he is one of the better players at the club. A few bad games dont change that, especially when the team was preforming as it was. Wages and Warnocks needs for founds sealed his fate, not ability. Sadly..

i do agree most likely already decided, but never say never.Warnock has us far more competitive than we were before he arrived, phase 2 has to be to increase the amount of quality on the pitch.and for me Manga is the best footballing defender we have.
be nice if we could just have 1 transfer window where we get rid of only deadwood . instead of the on going throw the baby out with the bath water transfer windows we are used to.
