A sickness bug in the camp....
Neil Warnock:
We’ve had one or two this week which we’re monitoring. We’ve had another sickness and diarrhoea bug that’s put four out of training this week. It’s like emergency ward ten this morning! Unless we get someone going down today we should be OK.

New contract for Peter Whittingham?
"I'm sure there will be a new contract for him"
Neil Warnock:
"Peter has done ever so well, he’s been a credit since I’ve been there."
"I’ve no intention of letting him go, but financially it might be a little bit different. As you get older youv’e got accept that, you can’t be on the money you’re on in your prime. I’m sure there’ll be a contract for him."
Neil Warnock says he is 'sure' that Cardiff City will offer Peter Whittingham a new contract.
However, he conceded that the 32-year-old might have to accept reduced terms to his current deal, which expires in the summer.

Rhys Healey controversy....
Neil Warnock:
"I disagree totally with what’s happened and I’m very, very annoyed with Graham Wesley at the moment if I’m honest."
"To ask a young lad to face the media and talk about Plymouth I think is totally out of order and I’ll be speaking to Rhys on Sunday. I don’t think he should have been placed in front of the media with the first question asking him whether he was going to Plymouth Argyle, he should be talking about Newport and it was totally unfair.
Plymouth have spoken to me as have a number of clubs, but the club has not spoken to Rhys – that’s been made up. He knew of the interest but he didn’t speak to them. His agent has spoken to clubs, which is normal for a young player out on loan.
I’d told Newport many weeks ago we have to do what’s right for the lad. We have to weigh up the pros and cons of whether we want the lad playing at a team at that end of the table or another challenge, either in another division – because a number of League One clubs have asked – or whether we want him to go to the other end of the League Two table, like Carlisle where Keith Curle has asked me, or Plymouth."

RICKIE LAMBERT LATEST
Neil Warnock: "Rickie Lambert is training, we’ll know more today, he hasn’t done anything other than straight forward running so we need to test that more, especially with three games in a week."

Another setback for Jazz Richards
Neil Warnock:
"Don’t ask me about Jazz, I feel sorry for him really. He’s not had a day’s training since I’ve been here."
"He started f running last week but I’ve had no updates so as far as I’m aware, he’s aware, he’s nowhere the first team at the minute. What can you say? It’s just injury after injury at the moment. Knee, calf, three weeks later it’s the other calf. I don’t ask now because it upsets me!"
"I’m hoping they wrap him up and give him to me as a Christmas present!"

Warnock's verdict on Mick McCarthy
Neil Warnock:
"Mick’s done a fabulous job, I always think it’s like when people shout for Wenger’s head, be careful what you wish for. If they’d [Ipswich] spent millions and millions fair enough. He rang me in the summer and told him to sign [Grant] Ward, I told him to sign him, I hope he’s not playing tomorrow! He asked me about the lad and he did brilliantly for me at Rotherham so I was pleased to see it."

Can I add that I just spoke to Fred this morning and he has picked up an injury and won't travel, so our striking options really are at zero and it looks like pilks will be in unless Lambert recovers. Desperate.

Not good at all Gareth.
I feel for Warnock, our club has known for the last three years we have needed a good striker.
Cheers for the update

No good looking back but your correct, as drab as it was city would have made play offs last season with a few strikers. Don't rule out mc cormack on loan.
