Junior Hoillett is exceeding all expectations

Speaking of Hoilett, Cardiff did well to land him and if he continues to play as well as he has in recent weeks, they may struggle to keep hold of him too.
You rarely get players of his talent in the prime of their career as a free agent, let alone at the beginning of October, two months in to the season. On massive wages at QPR, where things had gone stale for him, maybe Hoilett’s demands were putting off potential suitors.
The fact that Cardiff managed to strike a deal with him gave their season a timely boost and despite lacking match fitness, he made an instant impact. Quicker and craftier than Cardiff’s existing wingers, Hoilett has given the side more cutting edge and an outlet on the break.
Hoilett has also improved week on week and has quickly become one of Cardiff’s most indispensable players. Having also opened his account for the club at the weekend, hopefully goals will also follow.
Unfortunately, Hoilett’s existing deal only runs until the end of the current season and at present, that arrangement looks to favour the Canadian international far more than it suits the club. It feels unlikely that there will be speculation in January, but there certainly will be by the time the summer creeps up.
Hopefully Cardiff have designs on offering Hoilett a longer deal should his fine form continue and that he is receptive to the idea of staying. It appears to be union that is working for both parties .
