Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart has issued a lengthy statement on the departure of Kenny Jackett, who left his post as manager after just five matches yesterday.

Stewart said: “We had talks regarding our transfer policy in January, and the feeling was very much one of positivity. From my point of view the project with Kenny was always a three-year plan.
“I was very focused on building for the future but right out of the blue I received a call after the Leeds game from Kenny to say that he wanted to resign.

I cant see any way back for them and perhaps Kenny realised he was flogging a dead horse! They are pretty much finished in this league!
