For me Sean Morrison who ex manager Paul Trollope made Captain of Cardiff City this season,is not Captain material in my opinion.
I was shocked Trollope handed Morrison the Captaincy(I said that at the time) as for me Morrison is not a leader,has no real passion and hardly speaks to the rest of the team.

Without a doubt for me Aron Gunnarsson should be, he has all the qualities that are needed, passion, guts,leadership,shouts, speaks and never gives in and to add to that Captains and leads his country Iceland and is very proud to be a Captain.


When Neil Warnock took the job as Bluebirds’ boss, it’s fair to say everyone expected the defence to tighten up almost immediately, but even he hasn’t been able to stop the rot in that area of their game.

Also our defence gives away simple goals and over the last year we have leaked far to many,even Neil Warnock has already commented .

Sol Bamba has helped steady the ship, there’s no doubt about that but Sean Morrison unimpressive display on the weekend showed why there’s a lot more to do.


Warnock has said he is limited until January when he hopes to bring in more bodies, but what of Matthew Connolly and Bruno Ecuele-Manga? Both suffered poor starts to the season but their performances last term were often exemplary.

Something clearly has to change in the back four and bringing in a reliable player like Connolly may be what’s needed to end the run of continuous concessions.

Cardiff host Brighton on the weekend and the second placed side won’t take any prisoners as they continue to bid for a promotion which has been agonizingly away from their grasp for years.


Neil Warnock has non stopped praised Aron Gunnarsson and has said he is one of the best players in the Championship, I would like to see Gunners appointed.

100% agree like a chain our defence is as strong as it's weakest link and at the moment that is Morrison by a mile. He is also not a Captain and it is hard to see what Trollope saw in him to make him believe he was the man for the job. Gunnar or Sol are the 2 outstanding candidates.

OK it's not a nice thing to say but a long term injury to Morrison would probably to do us a big favour going into the 2nd half of the season.

Never really been a fan, but you need one attacking the ball and he was better at than Manga or Connolly but with Bamba in there I think Managa or Connolly may be in with a shout.

Ever since Gunnarson has played DCM with have shipped goals. Just saying

@AnnisAbraham Spot on. Said it all when Warnock said Morrison had benefitted fm Bamba's leadership at back. Morrison supposed to be leader!

Morrison was totally at fault for the second goal, but his second half performance was quite good to be fair I think Warnock must of put a rocket up his arse. But 100% agree he isn't captain material and also after Bambas meltdown on Saturday neither is he.
But agree that Gunnerson should be our captain as no one else even comes close. Manga and Connoly should also be knocking on the door, put pressure on Morrison to up his game.

It's a bit harsh on Morrison but he's always had a mistake in him personally I don't think he should have been given the armband gunnar probably missed out cos trolls didn't see him in his team but he's proving that was wrong.gunnar is a leader and imo should be captain

I would not have Morrison in my team, not good enough. I rate Connolly and Manga above him. Gunnarson should then take over the captaincy.

They want Manga gone,as City need the money and his wages are £25,000 plus a week, thats prob why we have not sold Manga, City are willing to take a lot lower on his transfer fee.
