What a magnificent away support

What a feeling it must have been for the Bluebirds to come out of the tunnel and see the sea of fans directly opposite them.

Whispers that a 2,500 strong following had travelled were quickly proven correct and they made an almighty din. What a moment it was when Rickie Lambert pulled them level for a brief moment. There were limbs everywhere, a guttural roar and the customary strains of 'Don't take me home'.

It helped create a memorable occasion and a proper football atmosphere that crackled as the game played out. Hopefully it will convince many to get on the road again because it was a genuinely awesome sight and one of the reasons why Warnock came here despite the league position.

Cracking day. Could have gone either way tbh. We need to score when on top cos villa break out and whisper past Morrison to score. Fkin lightweight.
Even second half should have got one. Then on comes Rudy was bound to happen

TBH, I thought your fans were brill today. Loud and proud. Though I'm Villa, my roots are Welsh. Ain't no other club whom have my respect as yours. After Xmas I aim to come to a few of your games...best of luck for the rest of the season.

Appreciate that, when we turn up I believe we have some of the most passionate fans in the country. We have suffered with numbers during the last few seasons with everything that's happened at the club. The anthem belted out was fantastic.

Somewhat disappointed with the approach taken by Villa stewards - only allowing 1 flag to be displayed. Others were taken down on their orders. Luckily for them we are "Away Fans" and we will let them do what they want and probably give them shirts as well. Overall stewarding and policing were very poor - seemed not to understand that the Cardiff fans were getting annoyed at being pelted with coins. Happy to film the city fans but paid no attention to the villa fans responsible :o

May have lost the game but we certainly won the atmosphere/support battle :D :bluebird:
