There is a clause in the strikers contract.

The latest transfer news involving Championship clubs

Transfer news: QPR,Cardiff and Wolves are in for striker,The Daily Mirror claim.

Matt Taylor is one of the top strikers in the lower divisions and his record is second to none.

Taylor who has scored 15 in 22 games this season and a total of 60 goals in the past two and a half seasons.

Bristol Rovers Striker Matt Taylor has scored 56 goals in 108 appearances for Rovers.

QPR and Cardiff want Bristol Rovers striker Matt Taylor., but there are a host of other clubs as Brighton, Wolves, and Glasgow Rangers supposedly also want the 26-year-old, who has scored 15 goals in 22 matches this season.

Those clubs “have all come in for Taylor” and he is “valued in the £1m bracket” but a clause in his Rovers contract means he can go for less, the Daily Mirror say.

The four interested Championship clubs have been watching him regularly and he could be set to go which would be a huge blow to Rovers’ own play-off hopes.

One of my best mates is a Gas fan and rates him highly, fox in a box and doesn't miss many.

He could be lethal under Warnock.

I've seen him a couple of times and he always looks threatening in and around the box. Could be a good acquisition in my opinion.

Bristol Rovers hot-shot Matty Taylor will spark a January transfer bidding war with Brighton, Cardiff, Wolves, QPR and Rangers all interested. (Daily Mirror)

Bloody hell this will sound like im blowing my own trumpet AGAIN lol I sat with the rovers fans in our game and I watched him quite closely and called for it then.. this guy is class.. he looks the real deal he gave Morrison and Bruno the run round. what an excellent buy this would be imo as he would have no problem making the step up. I just hope we take the plunge before he goes onto be a star somewhere else :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

his fee is small in comparison to what the wages would be to loan someone from the Prem I think and Tan must have promised Warnock a Kitty for January he is not here to pass the time by he wants to push :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

May I remind you of eoin Doyle he scored loads in the lower leagues but looked bang average in the championship. I could be wrong but not many players step up to the championship and do well.

Rickie Lambert and Kevin Keegan, both already mentioned on this forum today, are two who immediately spring to mind. Biggest problem may be the other clubs who have shown interest.

If he was 21 - 22 he would be a good gamble but at 26 why hasn't he made it already

Warnock got a slightly better record than slade at bringing players through and getting the best out of them!
