Spanish authorities say a man was stabbed during an altercation between supporters ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match between Sevilla and Juventus.
Seville police say the Italian Juve fan was seriously injured during the confrontation at the Taberna El Papelon pub near the city centre and rushed to hospital.
Officials added that the individual is in stable condition and his injuries are not life threatening.
At least two other people sustained minor injuries in the violence that occurred on Monday night.
Authorities say the fighting began after a group of Sevilla fans attacked the Juventus supporters at the bar in the southern Spanish city.
Police were forced to intervene to end the altercation. No arrests were made in the immediate aftermath.
More than 800 security personnel are expected to be present at Tuesday's important Group H clash.
