In a whirlwind week at Brighton and Hove Albion, we have seen the news break that Chris Hughton’s current number two, Colin Calderwood, would be leaving the south coast to join Aston Villa.
Although a number of candidates have reportedly stated an interest in being Calderwood’s replacement, it appears that it will be, in fact, Paul Trollope.
Having worked with Chris Hughton at both Norwich City and Birmingham City, it is looking inevitable that Hughton and Trollope would be reunited once again.
The combination of Chris Hughton and Trollope is a recipe for success in many ways and it will only amplify and enhance Brighton and Hove Albion’s chances of automatic promotion to the Premier League.
The first test for the duo of Chris Hughton and Paul Trollope will come in the form of Fulham, Brighton will be hoping they can take all from Craven Cottage on Saturday.
