Speculation has been rife that Joey Barton could return to Burnley following his recent release from Rangers following a training ground row.

He's certainly been offered the use of training facilities at the Lancashire club - and on-loan Liverpool player Jon Flanagan says he's meeting the midfielder soon and that's likely to fuel rumours of a second spell at Turf Moor even more.

Flanagan told the Daily Mail: "We are meeting up for a coffee in the next week or so. We haven't gone into detail about what has happened, but he will be OK, he'll get through it."
