Two mistakes from Warnock today
1. Putting Frederic on
2. Not taking him off
We were all in stitches watching him. Lazy is an understatement, you would think given a chance he would work his socks off when he came on. His fitness levels were something you would expect from a parks player.

I personally feel
Thought Fred did excellent when he came on. Won free kicks held up ball.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion boyo.
I thought he was absolute shite and we might as well have been playing with ten men.

Won several free kicks on halfway at vital stage of game , almost impossible to get into the game way it was going at the time!

Fred was fine when he came on for a completely knackered Lambert. People have decided on limited evidence that he is crap and can't wait to rubbish him regardless of what he does.Probably the same me people who took 2 years to recognise that Hudson was a fine player for us because after 2 games they decided he was crap..

There was nothing wrong with Fred's contribution today. He did well to hold on to the ball on a number of occasions when left totally isolated up front. The attitude of some people towards him is out of order. They judge him on how he was trying to play a few weeks ago when the team was rubbish. He deserves another chance.

I'm not a huge fan of his but I'm struggling to see what he did wrong when he came on today.
Closed down, ran, picked up free kicks and one immense defensive header not sure what else people want.
Mind you ......... I don't want him to start at Villa !!!!!

Fred and zahore have been terrible in the limited matches they have played, however he did show he is no slouch and had a few good touches today and as earlier poster said replaced Lambert who for all his qualities can't stretch defenders. He is however very naive and I don't think he's good enough at this level or up to the physicality of championship football. He won't be seen after Jan but for now we have to get on with it, so let's get behind fred

I thought Fred did well today. as far as I'm concerned we win today so the manager got it right. You could argue that lambert and holiet were knackered after 70 and Noone and Fred or chamouke should have come on but won 3-2 against a tough team.

This mug is nearly as shit as Cornelius, hopefully Warnock will put a stop to us signing these bums all the time

He did well.
Won 3 free kicks and put pressure on their defenders when they had the ball.
Also won some crucial defensive headers. Given we were backs to the wall he couldn't have done more.
The criticism above is unfair and smacks of minds made up before he touched the ball

So did I.
A difficult game to get into as we were playing as if we had ten men at the time, defending too deep and panicking like hell.
Saying that, I don't think he's the answer up front to start for us.

He done what was asked of him when came on
Held the ball up pulled in the free kicks taking the pressure off the defence
He done well when he came on lambert was out on his feet when he went off good change

I must have been watching a different came then, not brilliant but did enough and killed time whilst we had our back to walls. What doesn't help is the the abuse he gets ( not yesterday ) when he plays which is not great for his confidence. He will never be a great player but at least give him a chance !!!!

I thought he done okay when he came on, hes got a few very useful attributes, nice first touch, decent in the air, strong, quite quick. With Warnock in charge hopefully he can mould him into a good striker, he reminds me a little bit of Rudy when he came on the scene in terms of having alot to learn but having something about him to work on.

It stuns me the total difference of view on this player how can it be so different . I thought he did what he was told to do and did it well I think the attacks he has is very unfair but I seen it with other players too

Personally Fred can go this January, what a waste of money and who ever decided to bring him in,don't know football and cost us a proper striker as Fred is not Championship standard.

I thought he did ok when he came on did enough to kill time and put a few challenges in. Was never going to win me a pizza tho

Think I need to go to Specsavers cos the Fred I saw did everything you want from a striker when you are a goal up and under pressure. Held the ball up, stretched their defence and won a couple of free kicks to ease the pressure. With 5 minutes left he had five Huddesfield players around him and not a City player within thirty yards. Ran it to the touchline and got a free kick. Trouble is he is too closely linked in many peoples minds with Zahore. I am not saying he is the answer but there are parts of his game which show he may be a rough diamond that needs the Warnock polish.

He did alright in my eyes....won a couple of important free kicks and I imagine Warnock would have been pleased with what he did coming on at such an important time during the match.
Tue Nov 22, 2016 10:00 am
I wasn't there but if you watch Warnocks post match interview he said he thought Fred done fantastic when he came on and has been the best forward in training over the last two weeks. Who's knows if he can get hos confidence up he may still do a job for us, I'm not saying he's our 20 goal striker but let's not right him off completely, he's barely played.

I disagree, before bringing Fred on, Lambert had a great game but his energy had run out, he was no longer running at their defenders to increase pressure or chasing the ball down, this meant their defenders were able to play more attacking, which meant there was an extra man forward for them. However once Fred was on, he made a break through and the defenders realised it wasn't a good idea to push so far forward, limiting the amount of attackers they had. Granted, Fred isn't our best player and personally, I would've brought Noone on and put Pilkington up front but hey, we won
