Here is a question for you
Gunnerson
Great at waving his hands and giving his all
But then ruins his performance with inept passing and stupid mistakes
If you could morph Whitts and Gunnar they'd be in a top 4 team

I'm sure your remarks about Gunnarsson are tongue in cheek. We all know he does a lot more than just "move his arms about", that is, except when he's delivering a superb attacking long throw. Some of his passes and goal attempts have been excellent, particularly this term. I'm not sure there's any footballer who doesn't make stupid mistakes!

In the first half i thought Gunnarson was really poor at his job in the team. Often he was ahead of the ball and out of position. On the other hand Whitts did his role in the team, released Holliet for the second and put the ball onto Morrisons head for the first as well as a multitude of great passes.
My response was more about the original posters inability to understand that each player has strengths and weaknesses and a good manager tries to hide the weakness and accentuate the positives.

to all your superior football knowledge , however some of you need a lesson in what the word oppinion actually means , and then show some respect to fans whos oppinions differs to yours, debate by all means (thought that was the point of forums ) but why name call and show disrespect

You're right and when you mention the superb pass made to Hoilett from Whitts which led to the goal, he was then virtually on the goal line when Hoilett scored which disproves his 'lazyness'. Whitts could easily have stood admiring his pass instead.
As well as the original poster not being able to understand each player strength's, as you say, he also has a blind dislike for a player which speaks volumes about his knowledge.

Well My knowledge of the game knows that whitts was as you say virtually on the goal line but you fail to mention he was actually in an offside position ,thankfully Hoilett finished it well and whitts didn't get any touch on it ,but what do I know I'm just the forum idiot![]()

I didn't run home and make a thread up about it, its a team game and they all have jobs to do, Whitts is there to make goals Gunnars to stop goals.

My recollection was gunnar charged out, was out of position and tried to make the tackle from the wrong side, lost and ended up on his arse. Whitts, Ralls & Pilkington were trying to cover, but thats only their secondary role. Gunnar lost his battle and they scored.

Was ill Saturday so didn't go so I've only seen a quick replay. Every player has strengths and weaknesses and a good manager will hide the weaknesses while bringing out the strengths of a squad

And with these posts you're proving that you are.
My point was - to prove Whitts is not the useless lazy player to constantly say he is. It doesn't matter about offside or not just his movement and desire.
And he lost the ball? Who doesn't occasionally?
Perhaps you should rush on here after the next game and make a thread about Bamba or somebody if he makes a mistake that leads to a goal.
You are so bigoted it's unbelievable.
