Lots of stuff online about this but as it can help so many people I wanted to put it on the forum.
If you have insomnia, stress, anxiety, poor memory, are worried about Alzheimer’s, have bipolar, epilepsy or possibly many other problems I would totally reccomend trying this! My best mate who has insomnia is sleeping like a log and its done me wonders too!
Magnesium, Sleep, and Mental Health. Magnesium is well known for its ability to relieve insomnia. One study found that it helps decrease cortisol, the “stress hormone” that can keep you up at night. It also helps muscles relax, to give you that calm “sleepy” feeling and help you unwind after a long day.
Insomnia
It doesen't imidiately help you get to sleep by directly making you sleepy in my case but when you do you will sleep well! If your stress levels lower you should find getting to sleep in time gets easier anyway.

Never do I see suggestions for the one thing that, over 90 percent of the time, fixes the actual problem within 24 hours. This one thing is magnesium. A mineral found in low levels in many foods, it is a component of more than 325 different enzymes in the human body. It plays an important role in hydration, muscle relaxation, energy production and, crucially, the deactivation of adrenaline. Having sufficient magnesium in your body does not necessarily guarantee that you will go into a deep sleep quickly and stay there, but insufficient stores of the mineral guarantee that you won’t. And almost everyone I see is short of magnesium.
1 tabet Solgar Magnesium Citrate 400mg before bed. Could be huge benefits for you, and lots!
Magnesium Citrate Solgar 400mg tablets work great although there may well be better forms out there!
Evidence is mounting that low levels of magnesium contribute to the heavy metal deposition in the brain that precedes Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s. Many of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease can be overcome with high magnesium supplementation. In a trial with 30 epileptics 450 mg of magnesium supplied daily successfully controlled seizures. Another study found that the lower the magnesium blood levels the more severe was the epilepsy. In most cases magnesium works best in combination with vitamin B6 and zinc.
Only two drugs I can find that must be avoided with major interactions with Magnesium Citrate.
abacavir / dolutegravir / lamivudine (different names of same)
and dolutegravir (2drugs)
You should always consult your doctor though before suplementation.
