Venue: Cardiff City Stadium
Referee: James Adcock
Cardiff City take on Huddersfield Town as they look to improve on back-to-back defeats at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Neil Warnock and his men go up against a Huddersfield Town side who have enjoyed an unprecedented start to the season.
The Terriers are currently third in the Sky Bet Championship, five points behind Norwich City in second and four points ahead of Birmingham in seventh.
Cardiff will be desperate to bounce back from back-to-back defeats suffered before the international break, to Wigan Athletic and Newcastle United respectively. However, Cardiff will take spirit from an improved performance against the latter.
Huddersfield Town come into this one off the back of a near embarrassing 5-0 defeat to Fulham. The Terriers have hit a rocky patch in recent games, losing three of their last four.
The Yorkshire-men did manage to win the other two though, against Derby and Ipswich respectively.
The run of results have seen David Wagner’s team drop from the summit of the Championship table and they’ll be hoping to get back on-track.
When the two teams met last season, Cardiff come out on top on both occasions, winning 3-2 away from home, partly thanks to a sensational Peter Whittingham free-kick. In the home fixture, the Bluebirds come away with a 2-0 victory with Anthony Pilkington on the score-sheet.
Cardiff have a good record against Huddersfield in recent years, winning five of the last eight fixtures. Saturday’s visitors haven’t registered a win against the Bluebirds since January 2003 in the old Division 2.
