PAUL TROLLOPE INTERVIEWS FOR VILLA ASSISTANT MANAGER JOB
Aston Villa have interviewed former Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope as they look to find an assistant manager for Steve Bruce.
The Welshman was sacked as Cardiff boss in early October after his side managed to win just two of their first 12 games in the Championship and it looks like he’s ready to take a step down and become an assistant.
The 44-year-old has taken a similar step back into the coaching ranks in the past. After being sacked as manager by Bristol Rovers in 2010, he joined Chris Houghton at Birmingham City and followed him to Norwich at the end of that particular season.
Trollope also has a part-time coaching role with the Welsh national team, although it’s unclear at this time if he’d continue helping out Chris Coleman if he was hired by Villa.

Great research by whoever wrote that. Trollope isn't a coach with Wales anymore.
