I wonder how many of these people making a fuss will actually be attending Armistice Day parades today .
Nice if the soldiers are remembered at the football, but this obsession about having poppies on shirts is OTT.
Many ways of remembering and for me it should be down to the individual, after all, the freedom to choose is what these men died for.

Exactly things like this wind me up , poppy is a personal choice and I choose to wear one , no-one has ever told me to wear one and it should not be forced . That bar/restaurant should hang their heads in shame , the soldiers fought for our freedom we have today

I agree. They gave up their lives so that we can live in freedom and be able to choose what we ant to do rather than be dictated to. I choose to wear one, but if somebody else chooses not to that their choice and there is nothing wrong with that. I don't think anyone should be told either thay are not allowed to wear one, and nobody should be told that they have to wear one.

I'm in the forces and the fuss being made is over the top. They've held the minutes silence, they've showed the respect now just get on with the football.

Just go to a different pub where the poppy police can't get you

Seriously, this is all way over the top. Wear one if you want to, but if you don't no problem.

So far I've sent them 12 skips, 28 pizza's and an environmental health officer. I will also forward their telephone number to several Indian call centres. Happy Christmas.

A spokesperson from the Clocktower bar told Wales Online: "The post was about Fifa and a protest against them, but a few people have taken it the wrong way and it has certainly exploded far more than we imagined.
"We have nothing nothing against Welsh fans and we always welcome them. Everyone has a right to free speech and to express their opinions but I wish the post had been taken the way it was meant.
"I don't know what we can do to change people's minds but we well continue to welcome them to our pub."
