JIMMY HASSELBAINK: QPR EXIT PREMATURE

11/11/16

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says he is disappointed by his QPR sacking, with the club "on course to achieve our targets".

The former Chelsea striker was dismissed after less than a year in charge at Loftus Road last week with the Sky Bet Championship side lying in 17th position.

Hasselbaink, who guided Burton Albion to promotion from League Two before taking over at QPR, has released a statement thanking the club for his time there but admits he felt he had unfinished business.
The Dutchman has also revealed his career intentions following his dismissal, insisting his experiences will benefit him in the future.

Should have stayed at Burton. He was building the club up there and could have taken them even further. QPR are just another circus club it was always a risk and it didn't pay off.

Here's how it goes -
Nigel Clough left a very good Burton team to Gary Rowett who then took them up to league one who then left Burton in a very promising position for Jimmy to take over,Jimmy then took the QPR job which has found him wanting, you can't get through season after season on the back of someone else Jim I'm afraid.
