RUFC - Tom Looking Forward To Being Injury Free

Friday 11th November 2016

Rotherham United's almost forgotten man Tom Adeyemi is probably one of the most frustrated people sitting in the stands on a Saturday afternoon - and believe me there's been a few this season!

But the twenty-five year old is hoping to put that all behind him. On loan from Cardiff City Tom has had two separate injuries since joining in August and has only played in five games, the last one being at the start of October when he lasted less than half-an-hour against Newcastle United.

'It's been frustrating,' the midfielder told The Rotherham Advertiser, 'and I don't think I've got going yet. Every time I feel like I'm stating to get up to speed I have another setback.

'Initially it was a thigh injury which lingered a bit and because I was still playing with it I pulled my calf against Newcastle. It's taken a bit of time to get them both completely right but now I'm back in full training.

'It almost feels like it will be my third debut the next time I play!

'I've got some time until the next game to do some extra fitness work and get up to speed. I should be available next Saturday for the game at Derby.'

Speaking about new Manager Kenny Jackett Tom said, 'He has come in with a lot of experience at this level and it is a positive appointment. I've not had the chance to fully work with him but I'm really looking forward to showing him what I can do and learning from his as well.'
