' NEIL WARNOCK IS STRAIGHT TO THE POINT:"I HAVE NOT GOT A BOTTOMLESS PIT FOR TRANSFERS"

Striker/Centre back and goalie are just three of the type of players Warnock has said he wants to bring in.

Neil Warnock has talked about his desire to sign a striker in the January transfer window, but he also wants more than just a striker.

After bringing in four players as free agents when he arrived at the club,Neil Warnock is still not completely happy with the Bluebirds' squad.

He is looking up the table and is also willing to sell players in what may be another busy transfer window for Cardiff City this coming January.

Neil Warnock's intentions:

"We cant do anything until the (January transfer) window. And we haven't got many goals in the team at the moment,a new striker is bare minimum in what I want."

"We haven't got natural goalscorers."

It was a straight answer from Warnock, but one few could argue with. The legendary boss has made clear his intention to strengthen in the January transfer market. And beside a striker (or two) to support Rickie Lambert, he may also go after another centre back and a goalkeeper.

Warnock also admitted that he doesn't have a bottomless pit of transfer funds to utilise, with offloading players another necessity in January . He wants to improve the overall quality of the squad.

“And to do that I've said how I would offset certain players to cover that," he said.

“It's alright saying let him go, let him go, but you still have to have people that want them; we may have to probably let go someone we may not want to, if it means getting the right player in.

“It's a difficult time but I do feel we have to improve the squad if I'm honest, and you have to make difficult decisions sometimes."

Where does he say he wants a center back and a goalie?

It was a frank admission from Warnock but one few could argue with. The veteran boss has made clear his intention to strengthen in January. And beside a striker (or two) to support Rickie Lambert, he may also go after another centre back and a goalkeeper.

If we need another CB - ( IMO ) Manga could be the one going to free up some money.

As for the keeper - Why not try a loan move for Hennessey.

That would be brilliant but I would be surprised if Hennessy dropped down after the success of Wales at the Euro's and the current crest of a wave the national team are on Tony :bluescarf:

Think Manga will go on a free next summer mate, off to the ACON in Jan then out of contract in the summer?

Fair enough Annis, I'm just always skeptical when it's not in quotes because it could just be the reporters opinion that they enjoy to convey as fact.
