KOUMAS TO LIVERPOOL

Liverpool have snapped up Jason Koumas' 11-year-old son to their burgeoning academy, according to reports.

Koumas played 34 times for Wales between 2001 and 2009 and had two spells with Cardiff City. His son Lewis joins the Reds from Tranmere Rovers — where Jason began his career and played 178 times.

Young Koumas had been with the Super White Army since the age of eight but now joins Jürgen Klopp's Anfield revolution.

It follows the news that Welsh starlet Ben Woodburn, along with fellow youngsters Kevin Stewart and Trent Alexander-Arnold, signed long-term contracts with Liverpool.

Klopp said: "This is really positive news of course, and it's brilliant we have acted decisively to show our intent with our young players.

"The most important thing for us is the pathway to the first team.

“All three of these players are big talents and are at different stages of their development, but it is development that is key and they must continue to learn and improve to achieve their full potential.

“News like today makes it exciting for me and the first-team staff that their development will continue with us at LFC."

I don't take it personally, as you're a good poster and I know you are well meaning

I'll be honest, I did consider its value and thought it was of interest but it appears not, so removed as a 'Sticky' after your comment and on reflection

With regard to the "too many Stickies", I don't actually see it that way. The simple fact is that there will always be periods when there are more 'news worthy' news events than others. The simple idea of them is (and it's all subjective) to bring to more relevant/current items to the attention of members in an easily accessible place

The problem with putting only 'non-sticky' items up is that they are pushed down the listings according to when the last post is made and whilst some will argue that that shows how they are seen in level importance, that is not always true. Some of the best threads on this site get little response but tonnes of 'hits', whilst others (and I use the Jazz Richards 'Ayatollah' thread as an example) generate an immense response from people who rarely post at the best of times

As I said, it's all subjective and I think there are more good reasons for the 'Sticky' section than are against

You are absolutely right, its all subjective as you say, to be honest, it does have value, he's a former player and Welsh and it's good news to see young Welsh lads being picked up by the top Clubs, can only enhance the International Team in future.

Just for me personally I would rather just read the threads rather than certain one's getting pinned but no drama's, as you say, its subjective and different people will like different formats
