' STRIKER OMAR BOGLE? '

By Ryan White

Thursday 10th November 2016

The Bluebirds are still sitting 21st in the Championship table, just one place above the dreaded relegation zone, but it’s clear Warnock has had a positive influence on the squad in south Wales.

There are still positions in that team which need improving and Warnock – who has already outlined his desire to buy in January – could look at lower leagues to do so.

The Grimsby Town striker is one of the hottest properties in League Two at the moment.

Bogle has lit up the fourth tier this season with nine goals and two assists to his name which sees his side eighth, one place outside the play-offs.

Omar Bogle hasn’t just appeared on the scene in the 2016/17 campaign.

The 23-year-old banged in the goals last year as well, and fired the Mariners to a play-off final victory against Forest Green Rovers in May.

The Bluebirds are in need of someone who can score goals every week to take the pressure off veteran Rickie Lambert and I am sure that Bogle is a striker who can get that in Warnock’s side.

If anything, I am quite surprised he hasn’t moved on yet considering his form.

It may take a large figure though to prize him away from Blundell Park.

Let's hope Warnock has a better eye for lower league players than slade did. This guy is league two? Not being funny but Doyle was an absolute goal machine in League one and he's shit. if spotting a player ready for the next level was just based on goals it would be easy.

We're still hovering above religation, we need someone who can do the business now.

Jack True, but most quality players have to start some where.

Slade/Trollope were totally clueless compared to Neil Warnock :thumbright: :thumbright:

I think we were a bit silly selling Doyle as the guy had potential, he was played in a system that was totally inept, and then benched for most of his time with his confidence shot to pieces.

We should sign him on the basis of his brilliant name alone.

Like we did with Dave Ngumbu-Nsungu and Quincy Wincy Spider a few seasons ago.
