Given that we are now just over one third of the way through the season,it would be interesting to see where forum users think that we will finish at the end of the season?

At the start of the season we had a variety of opinions, with some predicting a top two finish, and many predicting a play off place. I assume a lot of posters may revise their original prediction, and I was wondering if fans still think we have one of the best squads in this division, and if they still think a top two or a top six finish will happen.


I am going to stick with my original view, and predict somewhere between 12th and 15th.

Steve, Warnock is one of the best managers in this division,but with no real quality strikers,he can't perform miracles, so I will go for 12th position come May

Mid-table at best with but we really need to concentrate on simple survival this year and allow Neil Warnock the opportunity to shape a team for next season

About 11th I'd say the key thing then is for the club to back warnock and get the players he wants

If we can get to January within 7-8 points of the play offs and then strengthen then I think the play offs could be a possibility but maybe mid table is a more realistic outlook

With a decent striker or two in January we should end up 13th-15th or thereabouts.

Agree with this, I think we'll improve our attacking options and finish about 13-15th

Seems like our expectations are a bit lower than they were in August. I think so far the posters have predicted where they think we will finish rather than where they want us to finish. Be good to see if those who had us down for automatic promotion or play off winners still have the same opinion.

I thought we would be in and around play offs like last season, while the Trollope appointment didn't get me excited I had no idea how poor he would be. It was driving me crazy before the run of results came, you could see it coming. Personally I think we now have a manager that fits Cardiff city, who demands passion and fight from his team. It's very early days, he hasn't even had a transfer window but the whole feeling seems a lot better both on and off the pitch and that's huge. The city will slowly climb, am really enjoying going at the moment and look forward to the games.

12-14th - the most important things are 1. We see a big improvement compared with pre Warnock 2. We avoid relegation. 3. We get some results even if we don't play well

Good to see every single response being a sensible and valid one. Just need Rydogs to predict us to win the league by 10 points now to round things off.

It's just about survival now. Bottom half, but fairly clear from the drop.

Possibly, but I am more of the opinion that we would actually need a high quality striker to get us anywhere near that position. You never know though, we are probably only a few players short of being able to compete with those who are pushing for a play off place.
