Warnocks winning attitude will push us close today.
Lets not kid ourselves about the challenge we face. It is a mighty tough ask for us to beat a rampant Newcastle side. I think if you look at the pro's and cons you can clearly see how the odds are stacked against us!

Despite the success, talent and millions to spend Newcastle have, we have something even more special.
We have a leader who relishes a challenge and who likes to prepare well and in detail. We have a team whith a new found belief who will follow his direction blindly as they believe in him!
We can ask nothing more from our players today than for them to sweat for the shirt and play with pride, blood and guts. We cannot accept their heads going down or them not battling for every ball and decision and Warnock wont either!
We can only hope that we can somehow have a bit of luck and an early goal. On paper we will be seriously up against it and if we take anything from todays game it could instill yet more confidence in the team and help us to develop the momentum to power us up the table to who knows where.
Its all about the effort today and as long as the team can deliver that from start to finish im sure we can forgive them if we lose.
Newcastle are almost certain to score here so I feel to stand any chance I think we are going to have to score at least a couple of goals.
If everyone is pulling together in the same direction I feel the challenge we face could in itself give us the motivation for a famous victory!

Cardiff have conceded in 80% of their last 20 away games.
Newcastle have scored in 85% of their last 20 home games
In their last 20 home matches against teams positioned below them in the table, Newcastle have scored 1.9 goals per game and conceded 1.1 goals per game on average.
We have lost Lambert and have no great natural goal scorers.
Newcastle have won their last 6!
Benitez's team have won more points than eventual winners Burnley did 12 months ago, and they are in a better position than United were in 2010.
Benitez has stated recently that he wants no complacency and no over confidence from his team and they will take nothing for granted against us!
Pro'sNewcastle have lost Matt Ritchie on the wing who has been imense for them!
Warnock dislikes Benitez and will be keen to beat him!
We have nothing to lose and will be underdogs.
Newcastle have conceded in 70% of their last 20 home games.
Cardiff have scored in 60% of their last 20 away games
Warnock has said there has been sickness in the camp and preparation has been poor. (really?) Could this just be a sign of how eager Warnock is to win by playing down our chances?
We hit the bottom of the table but there is no better place to lay a good foundation than rock bottom. Im convinced we will have a solid foundation laid down this season and im sure we will be a force in the next!
Newcastle have doubts to be exploited!!
Rafa Benitez Wants To Avoid This At All Costs
The game against Cardiff City at home today is statistically the easiest game of the season in the league so far for Newcastle, since we are at home to the 4th bottom club.
But that’s why it’s such a dangerous game, because the players may think exactly that and not go into the game with the determination and enthusiasm they would show if they were facing a Brighton or a Norwich side for example.
And the last time we had an “easy game” was when we were on the road at Rotherham United and they gave us everything we could handle in the narrow 1-0 win at a packed out New York Stadium.
This is what Rafa has told the Chronicle today:
“We know that we are doing well and we do have confidence in ourselves, but at the same time my message is always the same.”
“It’s what the fans are expecting too – no complacency and no over-confidence.” “We will then approach the game in the same way we have before.”
“We have to be sure that we can get three points and go away and enjoy the international break.” “But it is a tough game and they have a manager with experience of the Championship.”
“We know we have to compete from the first minute until the last.”
“Every game is dangerous because everyone is expecting to work towards beating us.” “They want to try to challenge us and we know it will be like this until the end of the season.”
“We have to be ready for these type of games.”
Cardiff were beaten 1-0 at home to Wigan Athletic last Saturday and that was Neil Warnock’s first loss since taking over on October 5th.
In 4 games he has two wins and a draw for a good 7 points so they are now an improved side.
We need to win this game this afternoon – some way – some how.

If the leaders we have in the team give their full commitment and back Warnock in getting the team motivated we can win today! That is why he picks them and its a big part of his success.
