Agree Newcastles support is awesome.but I wonder how many they'd get if they had Cardiff City's history.

I personally think the fans who follow teams in the lower divisions all across the country who support clubs who have had little or no success or have had success but have fallen on hard times are the best fans. They do it for the love of their Club and are with them no matter what.

Agree. Definitely put Pompey fans in that bracket they have stuck with their Club through the difficult times and still take big numbers everywhere.

also had a long period in the premier league and a fa cup win ironically against us.

I hate Leeds but they were getting 2000 away fans in league 1 and a fair support at home , if Newcastle failed to go back up to the premiership and had a few seasons in the championship would they get the support they get now
