As I said on the other thread, I think it's a mixture of things - some regulars who used to post a lot have moved on, with Strava we can all see each others training so that gets discussed a lot less on the forums, and I think new runners are more likely these days to use Facebook, Twitter etc to seek advice, so the site probably gets far fewer new users than before.
Ellis makes a good point about the lack of development/updates too. The site is basically the same as it was when I first joined four years ago. I bet Google is ranking it a lot lower these days than it used to, which compounds the problem with the lack of new members to replace those that leave.

I think it will take alot for this one to die off but it has been a bit of a wake up call. Perhaps there might be things that can be done to boost the numbers?
With Cardiff playing regular there is plenty to draw people in but the more the merrier I say. If you want a debate the more opinions the better it is. You can see a post from the forum im on about below. The Jacks dont come on here much anymore or other clubs for that matter so could that be a symptom of the site needing to develop?
It pays to be proactive so maybe this post might give the moderators and organisers something to think about.

Just my opinion.

I believe it was ruined by Santa Ponsa blue and Worcester CCFC who just spammed the whole forum full of useless news pieces that have nothing to do with Cardiff. The problem is most threads on here don't get to 5 replies anymore let alone two pages as there's nothing to debate in a lot of what is put out by the mods.

I can catch up on general football news on Sky Sports News I dont need to sift through threads on here telling me players from other clubs have signed a new contract.etc. I dont know what purpose that serves on this messageboard.
CCMB has less threads but more replies so people actually get into discussion.

Also if fans stay away - most will show no interest on this forum or others in voicing their views.
People may have had enough of " The Circus " and find to spend their time in other places.
