' IT IS CHEAP TO WATCH CARDIFF CITY '

:bluebird: " UNDER 16 SEASON TICKET £32 IN THE NINIAN STAND " :bluebird:

A friend of mine has been coming to the stadium with his daughter for the last four games and decided to buy season tickets for them both yesterday.

Sitting in the Ninian Stand the Adult ticket is £195 and his U16 daughter is just £32.

£99 for Students in the Canton stand,I hear they could now be as little as £79 :bluebird:

His season tickets start from the Huddersfield home game in 3 weeks but that is good value.

With Christmas coming up and the cost of season tickets going down as each game passes I would imagine there will be quite a few more sold.

Carl,No real excuses now about value for money to watch your club Cardiff City, as some make the price of watching City an excuse.
Very good value in my opinion for Championship football, We should of sold about 15,000 season tickets not 11,500 with the opposition City have this season, from Leeds,Villa,Newcastle etc etc

I have to agree, our prices have been cheap for years.

You could get an adult ticket in the Canton Stand yesterday for £18, I went to a National League game about 3-4 years ago now and paid £19.

That's still too much for some people when you take in to account expenses for travel, food and drink ect, some people really don't have the luxury of having a disposable income
Look at Germany you can get season tickets for some of the biggest clubs in Europe for around €100

I appreciate that some people are never going to be able to afford it and I do think Football is expensive as a whole but in comparison to other clubs we are actually quite cheap

Other than the travel I have to take exception the the expenses argument though, you don't need to spend a penny other than your match ticket in truth, I think it is a massive cop out when people try play the food and drink card, its purely optional.

When I was a kid, we never had anything in the ground apart from on rare occasions, we took our own sweets etc and had dinner when we got home.

I'v bought a season ticket for Atletico Baleares this season Div2(equal to Newport County's league).

Adult 75 Euros and Under 16's 20 Euros.

Atletico have 2,500 season ticket holders.

Average Spanish wage around that area is about only 800 Euros a month.

I agree some can't afford it,but they soon afforded it when we were in the Premier League, 22,500 season ticket holders at higher prices and £50 away tickets, selling 2,500-4,000 tickets.
At Man United away over 100 City fans paid £200 a ticket to sit in VIP.

Yet now if we travel that far on a Tuesday night barely take 100 fans.

I know we have good prices in comparison to a lot of other clubs, personally it's not a problem for me I been going regular for over 25 years but British football in general is just far too expensive and whatever way you look at it there are loads that have been priced out, there really should be a cap on ticket prices across the board

Wasn't the best game I've been to either! however , the problem is the kids watch the best of the best on TV all replayed in slow motion and in HD quality . Please remind them that it's all about " your team" whatever the score. We will always have ups and downs, can't always be winning the league, just look at Man U these days.
