'BARTON REMAINS SUSPENDED'
28/10/16
Joey Barton remains suspended from Rangersuntil further notice after attending a formal disciplinary hearing at Ibrox on Thursday, Sky sources understand.
Barton has not played for Rangers since they were beaten 5-1 by Glasgow neighbours Celtic in the Scottish Premiership in September.
In the week following that match, the former QPR and Burnley player was involved in an altercation with fellow midfielder Andy Halliday and manager Mark Warburton.
Barton has been suspended by the club since then, although Halliday has played in all six games, scoring three goals. The 34-year-old has only played eight times since his arrival at Ibrox during the summer.
