JOEY BARTON SET FOR RANGERS TALKS

Joey Barton and Rangers will meet today to discuss the player's future at Ibrox, according to Sky sources.

In the week following that match, the former QPR and Burnley player was involved an altercation with fellow midfielder Andy Halliday and manager Mark Warburton.

Barton's last game for Rangers was at Celtic Park in September The 34-year-old has been suspended by the club since then, although Halliday has played in all six games, scoring three goals.

Barton has only played eight times since his arrival at Ibrox during the summer. He has recently been linked with a return to Turf Moor, but Sky sources insist no discussions have taken place between Barton and Burnley.

i was thinking this but they actually had a run in so not sure he would work for warnock again, warnock kinda part blamed barton for him getting the sack
