It is hard to believe that central midfielder Ralls is still only 23 years old having made first team appearances for the Bluebirds on a regular basis, ever since his debut as a fresh-faced 17 year old in a League Cup game against Oxford United on 10th August, 2011.
Ralls has gone on to make 109 appearances for the club and has scored 7 goals during a career that has seen him become one of the main figures of midfield at the club over the past couple of seasons.
His performances last season received wide praise.
So it seems a bit bizarre that a player who has been a persistent starter in a Championship side that was performing adequately in the second tier of English football for the past two seasons, is valued at less than half a million pounds.
If you think it’s because his contract is close to running down then you would be wrong.
Joe Ralls is signed to Cardiff until 2019 so his market value is mystifying.

Absolute rubbish - a young midfielder like Joe is worth a few million surely.
Huddersfield sold Butterworth to Derby for £4.5m summer 2015. Ralls must be around his level in terms of ability.
