New Rotherham manager Kenny Jackett will look to bring midfielder Richie Smallwood back to the club in January.
The 25-year-old was allowed to leave New York Stadium on a season-long loan to Scunthorpe by former boss Alan Stubbs in August, but Jackett is keen to make use of his services as the Millers fight the drop in the Sky Bet Championship.
The former Wolves boss, who was appointed as Stubbs' successor last week, will now go over the terms of the loan deal with a view to recalling him in the January window.
"Richie is an experienced midfielder," Jackett said. "Coming here as an opposing manager many times, (Lee) Frecklington and Smallwood always give you a game. We will have to see. We will explore all avenues to try to add competition, experience and enthusiasm. We will look to do everything we possibly can to improve the team and results."

Glad that fixture is done and dusted for us,He's the type of manager that will stop the rot for them.Lets hope he turns them into somthing awesome at home but crap away.
